Yes. The performance of the Sküma Super-Filter was evaluated and certified in February 2025 by an independent French laboratory accredited by COFRAC.
The tests notably demonstrate the elimination of:
- 99.9% of water contaminants, including 165 pesticides and their metabolites, 20 PFAS, 14 heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), vinyl chloride monomers (VCM) and perchlorates;
- 98% of microplastics;
- 96% of total dissolved solids (TDS);
- 61% of TFA (trifluoroacetic acid).
To validate these results, Sküma established a particularly demanding test protocol. More than 230 contaminants likely to be present in tap water were selected based on reports from the French Regional Health Agencies (ARS) and NSF/ANSI standards. The water used for testing was then enriched with these contaminants before being filtered through the Super-Filter, in order to precisely measure the elimination rates.
The Super-Filter combines three filtration technologies: a sediment filter, a high-performance activated carbon filter and a reverse osmosis membrane. In most cases, contaminant concentrations after filtration reach the limit of quantification of the analyses.
You can view all the results and test reports in the Science section of our website.
Whatever the quality of your tap water, the MY™ Station lets you obtain purified water that you can then personalise to your preferences.
No. The MY™ Station is ready to use within minutes. Simply fill its removable 4.8-litre tank, place it on your worktop and plug it into an electrical outlet. You can then immediately enjoy purified, personalised water at room temperature or hot.
No. The MY™ Station works without any connection to your water supply. Thanks to its removable 4.8-litre tank, you can install it wherever you like, near an electrical outlet. For setting up and configuring your device, please refer to the user manual or our video tutorials available on YouTube.
The MY™ Station measures 22 cm (W) x 34 cm (D) x 40.5 cm (H), making it compact enough to fit perfectly on any standard kitchen worktop.
By default, the MY™ Station dispenses water at room temperature, equivalent to your tap water.
However, it also provides instant hot water with no preheating time, offering a more energy-efficient alternative to a traditional kettle.
You can choose from four temperatures: 50°C, 75°C, 85°C and 92°C, depending on your needs.
If you prefer chilled water, you can keep it in the fridge in one of our Sküma glass design carafes, designed to preserve the quality of your water while blending elegantly into your interior.
The MY™ Station starter pack includes:
- The MY™ Station, fitted with its triple-filtration Super-Filter;

The MY™ Station is made from high-quality materials, selected for their safety, durability and compatibility with drinking water.
The main body of the device and the water tank are made from premium food-grade ABS, a benchmark material in the water and health sectors. It is recognised for its mechanical strength, chemical stability and safety in contact with water.
All internal fittings are also food-grade certified, ensuring perfect taste and odour neutrality, with no migration of unwanted compounds.
Water is heated only at the point of dispensing, thanks to an instant hot water module designed in Germany and made from high-quality stainless steel. The other parts of the circuit in contact with hot water are made from stainless steel or medical-grade silicone, depending on the section.
Finally, the mineral bottles are made from borosilicate glass, a material known for its strength and neutrality, commonly used in the medical and scientific fields. Their nozzles are made from food-grade ABS, specifically designed for use in contact with drinking water.
The MY™ Station always keeps around 1.5 litres of filtered water available in its internal tank, so you can help yourself straight away.
When this reserve needs to be replenished, the filtration cycle takes around 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the quality of your tap water.
Also remember to empty the reject water tray regularly, or use the standalone reject water tray.
The power consumption of the MY™ Station varies depending on how it is used:
- 30 W during filtration and remineralisation of water at room temperature;
- 1,600 W when dispensing hot water (only during instant heating);
- 8 W in standby mode.
Thanks to its instant heating system, the MY™ Station only heats the amount of water needed, avoiding the need to keep a hot water tank at temperature at all times.
Yes. The water produced by the MY™ Station is highly purified thanks to reverse osmosis technology and can be drunk as is.
However, reverse osmosis removes not only contaminants but also a large proportion of the minerals naturally present in water, such as calcium, magnesium and potassium.
That's why we recommend remineralising the water with the MY™ Bases mineral profiles. Remineralisation helps to:
- restore a mineral balance suited to your hydration;
- improve the taste of the water and stabilise its pH;
- reintroduce electrolytes, which contribute to optimal hydration;
- personalise your water according to your needs (daily hydration, sports activity or digestive comfort).
It's a winning combination! With the MY™ Station, you can give your drinking water back the properties it needs, tailored to your requirements.
Of course — if you have a carbonator, the taste will be even better and the quality even higher!
The MY™ Station uses reverse osmosis filtration technology. This process removes contaminants from the water by flushing them out along with some of the water used during filtration. This reject water contains the impurities captured by the Super-Filter.
The amount of reject water depends on the quality of your tap water, particularly its hardness. On average, it represents between a quarter and a third of the water used.
For added convenience, you can fit your MY™ Station with a standalone reject water tray. This includes a drainage hose up to 1.5 metres long, allowing reject water to be automatically drained to the sink, so you don't have to empty the tray manually.
We recommend descaling your MY™ Station every 12 to 16 weeks, or after 8 weeks of inactivity, to ensure optimal performance and preserve the quality of your device.
To carry out this operation, please refer to the user manual or follow our video tutorial available on our YouTube channel, which will guide you step by step.
Before carrying out any cleaning, unplug your MY™ Station.
To clean the water tanks and remove limescale deposits, simply use white vinegar. Then rinse the tanks thoroughly with clean water before putting the device back into service.
For the detailed procedure, please refer to the user manual or follow our video tutorial available on our YouTube channel.
Yes. The Sküma maintenance filter is fully reusable.
It is designed to be used during the cleaning and descaling of your MY™ Station. Once the procedure is complete, simply remove it, store it in a clean, dry place away from heat, and reuse it for the next maintenance session.
It should not be thrown away after use.
If you are away for an extended period, we recommend emptying your MY™ Station, storing your Super-Filter® in the fridge, and running a rinse cycle after more than 2 weeks of non-use. Replace the filter after 6 weeks of non-use.
The MY™ Station is designed in the United Kingdom by the Sküma Water team, under the direction of a French engineer.
Its manufacturing relies on an international production chain: the main components are manufactured in China to strict specifications, while certain elements, such as the instant hot water module, are designed in Germany.
Final assembly and quality control are carried out in the United Kingdom or the Netherlands, to ensure compliance with Sküma Water's technical and health requirements.

Filtration Questions
The MY™ Station combines triple filtration (sediment filter, high-performance activated carbon and reverse osmosis membrane) with personalised remineralisation using the MY™ Bases.
This technology removes up to 99.9% of contaminants, including PFAS, pesticides, heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues, microplastics and many other unwanted substances. The performance of the Super-Filter has been certified by an independent French laboratory accredited by COFRAC.
Unlike most conventional filtration systems, the MY™ Station doesn't just purify water: it then remineralises it with the MY™ Bases, giving you personalised water and optimising your hydration according to your preferences and needs.
Reverse osmosis is one of the most advanced membrane filtration technologies. Thanks to an extremely fine membrane, it removes up to 99.9% of contaminants, such as PFAS, pesticides, heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues, microplastics and many other unwanted substances.
This filtration produces water with a very low mineral content. That's why the MY™ Station remineralises it with the MY™ Bases, to give you purified water that is personalised and suited to your hydration needs.
The Super-Filter®'s lifespan is between 750 and 1,100 litres of filtered water, depending on the quality and hardness of your tap water.
In most cases, replacing it once a year is enough to ensure optimal performance and consistent water quality. The Super-Filter® is available for €49.00.
If you don't use your MY™ Station for more than two weeks, run a rinse cycle before putting it back into service. However, after more than six weeks without use, we recommend replacing the Super-Filter®. For an extended absence, remove it and store it in the fridge for the entire period of inactivity.
Yes. The Super-Filter® can be recovered at the end of its life. However, due to its composition (activated carbon and reverse osmosis membrane), it cannot be recycled through standard sorting channels.
You can return your used Super-Filter® to us so that it can be processed through an appropriate recovery channel. Otherwise, it should be taken to a recycling centre in accordance with local sorting guidelines.
The MY™ Station incorporates several design choices aimed at reducing its environmental impact: fewer plastic bottles, durable materials, controlled energy consumption and end-of-life recovery solutions.
Reducing plastic waste and carbon footprint: by producing purified water directly at home, the MY™ Station reduces the need for single-use plastic bottles and the emissions linked to their manufacture and transport. For a consumption of 2 litres per day, its carbon footprint is estimated at around 30 kg CO₂e in the first year, then 7 to 11 kg CO₂e per year. By comparison, an equivalent consumption of PET bottled water represents around 60 kg CO₂e per year. The impact linked to manufacturing the machine is generally offset after 4 to 6 months of use.
Durable materials: the MY™ Station is made from BPA-free food-grade ABS, a robust material designed to last. The MY™ Bases bottles are made from reusable, 100% recyclable borosilicate glass.
Optimised energy consumption: the MY™ Station consumes just 8 W on standby, 30 W during filtration (around 5 minutes per litre) and 1,600 W only when dispensing hot water.
Products designed with end-of-life in mind: packaging is made from 100% recyclable cardboard. Super-Filters® and MY™ Bases bottles can be returned or taken to an appropriate facility to support their recovery.
TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) refers to the total amount of substances dissolved in water, mainly minerals, salts and other ionic compounds. It can include calcium, magnesium, sodium or certain dissolved metals. TDS is expressed in ppm (parts per million) or mg/L and is an indicator of the water's mineral content.
As a general guide, TDS values are usually interpreted as follows:
- 0 to 50 ppm: very low mineral content (for example, after reverse osmosis filtration).
- 50 to 100 ppm: low mineral content.
- 100 to 300 ppm: range commonly observed for tap water.
